Ministry allows trial of John Edwards

 
Washington - the U.S. Justice Department has approved a trial of the former presidential candidate of John Edwards for the embezzlement of campaign contributions according to a report. In the case, it involves hundreds of thousands of dollars, the Democrat of Edwards used to House a lover and mother of a common child, reports the US television channel ABC, citing an unspecified source. The former Democratic Senator therefore aware of the impending charge and thinks about a deal with the justice.

Edwards competed in the pre-election campaign for the Democrats against the current President Barack Obama in 2008. Edwards former confidant Andrew Young had the adulterous affair of former Senators in an investigative book described and listed also the costly support for the mistress of the Senator. Later, he confirmed the statements from justice in the U.S. State of North Carolina.

Edwards had known in the year 2008 on the affair, after he retired from the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. He admitted to one and a half years later the paternity of the child. He had informed his wife, Elizabeth, which expressly provided in the pre-election campaign, in 2006 about his affair. She died two years later of cancer. Prior to his candidacy against Obama was already taken against John Kerry Edwards in the pre-election campaign of 2004, lost the race, however.
