Lauren Alaina had to struggle in American Idol Finale

Early in the final in Los Angeles Nokia Theatre, describes Ryan Seacrest, the faceoff between Scotty  McCreery and Lauren Alaina as "the boy next to the beautiful South."

Lauren, unfortunately, had to struggle with their own voice - or rather, her voice was fighting with her.

During the trial, she had a vocal cord. A black doctor in Scrubs - would not cheer you up in the emergency room? - Came in and said she had been treated and would be "great."

Lauren said: "I'm here, I'm ready to sing and I'm fine Do not worry .."

She said with a smile that was not really brave all that reassuring.

But it was live TV, and we started. And Lauren was right.

The night was divided into three parts: 1) Participants capo their favorite songs of the season, 2) a series sung elected by personal idols - Carrie Underwood Lauren, George Strait for Scotty and 3) they played what would be their first one should win.

A round
Scotty McCreery: Montgomery Gentry "Gone". Well, it was perfectly smooth. This was even smoother than I remember its original performance, and fresh as a sheriff at midday.

Lauren Underwood "Flat on the floor." His voice seemed to get lost in the words tumbling, but a rapid pace, it has never done a favor. It is better if they slowly pour the syrup over all. I mean that in the right direction.

Jennifer Lopez gave him a standing ovation, but at runtime, the camera view of the close-cut: you is strictly looked worried me if a pruner branches should be cut.

Second round
Scotty Strait "Yes" or "no" is even better, more confidence that "Gone" with a nice little hiccup in the sound. You've probably said it could have a land rocket headed straight for him, and he gave the same performance.

Lauren: Pam Tillis of "Maybe it was Memphis, where she sings in a gold evening dress and boots poufy. Even better, because they have more in their wheelhouse was, as Randy Jackson might say - it connects over a stream of emotions.

At this point, Ryan asked the judges to assess the first two rounds.

Both praise singers as "unbelievable," Randy Jackson was the first round to Scotty with a slight lead, and the second round of Lauren, again with a slight lead. Jennifer described the first round "explosive" and agreed with the judgments of Randy.

Steven Tyler was two laps around Lauren, but only because they are prettier. "

Third round
Scotty's simple: "I love you so big." Producer Jimmy Iovine said Scotty, it was "a great moment and a very good song, and you have a beautiful voice." Beats me: It was a slow process, sincere, marshmallow porous a song that you drink a lot of strength Scotty's unpleasant.

"The beach was great," said Randy. Jennifer "did a great job." Steven ". You've nailed again"

Lauren: Another marshmallow, but melodically rich, and Lauren is a natural for this kind of ballad "How my mother.." Perhaps more importantly, it was the best time to be sentimental Ryan down in the public and pressing it against their mother's mouth "thank you" to their lead allowed.

Lauren called her mother called her father cry. I mean, come on, do not you cry? As Iovine said, "Mothers are the bedrock of American society, and they will all be moved by this song like crazy."

The judges all liked it too. Randy has a knack for Lauren with a slight lead, "said Steven, it would still be" hands down, "Jennifer and concluded:". With this song, we may have won "
